According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, lane marking and roadside organization operations in the Enghelab Square underpass area were carried out with the aim of improving traffic safety and reducing potential hazards. Arak Metropolitan Municipality is vigorously implementing comprehensive traffic programs on urban streets, and these measures will continue with the aim of reducing accident rates, smoothing traffic flow, and enhancing citizens' safety.

Safe passage and traffic flow with sign renewal and signal reactivation
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, the renovation and inspection of traffic signs on Shahid Anjafi Highway has begun. In this project, worn-out signs were replaced, traffic equipment was installed at accident-prone points, especially at junctions, and speed bumps were also painted and highlighted to improve visibility. At the same time, following needs assessment and the completed modifications, the traffic light at the Jalal Al-e Ahmad and Davaran intersection was reactivated after years of being out of service and is now operating on a three-phase schedule. These measures were carried out with the aim of reducing accidents, eliminating traffic conflicts, and increasing pedestrian safety, and have been welcomed by citizens.

Arak Municipality measures to make streets safer by installing three pedestrian bridges
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in line with improving street safety and facilitating the movement of citizens, the design and construction of three pedestrian bridges in various parts of Arak has been carried out. These bridges were designed based on requests from neighborhood councils and after precise traffic studies. So far, two bridges have been installed and put into operation at the entrance to Shahr-e San'ati neighborhood and the entrance to Qanat Naseri neighborhood. Also, the design of a pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Navab Street and Hepco has been completed, and after receiving legal permits, its installation will also be carried out.

Improving safety on the southern ring road with the installation of guard flowers
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Municipality of Arak metropolis, in order to increase the safety coefficient on the southern ring road, the installation of 75 guard flowers was carried out on this route. This measure was taken to prevent traffic accidents and create an orderly appearance on the southern ring road. This project is part of the municipality's broader programs in improving traffic infrastructure and increasing citizens' quality of life.

Making Urban Streets Safer by Installing and Restoring Traffic Signs
According to the Department of Communications and International Affairs of the Municipality of Arak, in order to increase the safety of citizens' traffic and improve traffic signs and signals, extensive measures have been carried out in various parts of the city. In this operation, two pedestrian crossing signs were reinstalled on the median strip of Khoram Street, and two new pedestrian crossing signs were installed in front of Haj Iraqchi Elementary School. Also, in the Mosalla area, on Aqanordin Boulevard, two pedestrian crossing signs and one chevron sign were restored and installed. In the following step, another chevron sign was also reinstalled at the Mosalla U-turn on Salman Farsi Boulevard. The one-way sign on Ashura Street, which needed repair, was replaced and reinstalled. At the Hepco U-turn, a chevron sign with a median strip was also reinstalled. Other important measures carried out included removing guards and safety bollards in front of the municipality and reinstalling the required equipment. Also, with the start of the new school year, pedestrian crossing marking operations were carried out around schools located on Al-Mahdi, Behdari, and Maskan streets so that students could move more safely. These measures were carried out with the aim of improving urban safety, facilitating pedestrian movement, and reducing driving hazards.
